An artwork display by a University of Cincinnati student is gaining attention, but that of the controversial kind. Students and staff have both complained, calling for the display to be taken down - deeming it disrespectful.
Artist Harry Sanchez states that he intended to create an art piece that he believes depicts the current state of America. With an upside down flag, as well as a flag wrapped in a noose, many of Sanchez's school-mates don't agree with his message.
According to FOX 19, students have gone so far as to cover the surrounding windows of the display with paper, blocking the display for passing viewers. After the paper was torn down from the windows, photos of veterans went back up in its place.
Sanchez hopes that those offended by his artwork do not block it, but come and discuss it with him.
