Santa Visits Coal Country

For 83 years Santa has visited a 110 mile stretch of Kentucky, Virginia, and Tennessee not by sleigh, but by train.

Every year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, CSX runs a special Santa Train through coal country. The journey starts in Shelbiana, Kentucky and runs the 110 mile track to St. Paul Virginia. This year the train made a special stop to visit the victims of Hurricane Helene in Erwin, Tennessee.
