UC hits the road to take on Kansas State for an 8pm kick in Manhattan, KS. A win snaps a three game skid and makes the Bearcats bowl eligible for the sixth time in seven years. They are facing a ranked team for the first time this season. The last time UC beat a ranked team on the road was over No. 9 Notre Dame three seasons ago.

UK and No. 3 Texas meet in Austin for a 3:30 kick. It’s just their 2nd meeting ever. The only other matchup was a Longhorns 7-6 win over Bear Bryant’s No. 6 Wildcats in the 1951 season opener. The Longhorns are the only team in the nation with eight wins vs. FBS opponents that are .500 or better.

Louisville is home to Pitt for a 4pm kick. It’s Senior Day. In last week’s loss at Stanford, Duke Watson became the 1st true freshman player in program history with a 100-yard rushing game and three touchdown performance. The Cards OL hasn’t allowed a sack over the last three games. RB

9-1 Notre Dame takes on 9-0 Army at Yankee Stadium. It’s the 100th anniversary of the Notre Dame vs. Army game at Yankee Stadium in 1924, which produced perhaps the most famous passage in the history of sports journalism: Grantland Rice’s storied “Four Horsemen” article. The Irish are wearing specialty uniforms inspired by the article, which begins, “Outlined against a blue, gray October sky the Four Horsemen rode again.” Who are the Four Horsemen? QB Harry Stuhldreher, LHB Jim Crowley, RFB Don Miller and FB Elmer Layden.

No. 2 Ohio State (9-1) welcomes No. 5 Indiana (10-0). OSU has won 29 straight in the series, with IU’s last win coming in 1988. ESPN College GameDay and Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff will be on hand. Ohio State is tops in all-time in GameDay appearances (Saturday will be No. 62nd), wins and times hosting.

It’s Friday Lights for Purdue, with the Boilers in East Lansing to take on Michigan State.Three of the Boilermakers' past four games have been against teams ranked in the CFP's Top 5 (No. 1 Oregon, No. 2 OSU, No. 4 Penn St.). Purdue plays at No. 5 IU next week.

The Mt. St. Joe Lions captured their third consecutive HCAC title last week. They are DIII Playoff bound for the third consecutive year, and will find out their opponent during the NCAA selection show on Sunday at 5:00.
