Pirates 9 Reds 5

Trailed 3-0 in the 1st, 6-0 in the 3rd and 8-0 in the 5th.

Hunter Greene clearly didn’t have it. He vomited on the mound facing the 2nd batter of the game. Then served up 2-R HR to Bryan Reynolds.
1st inning: 3 runs, 2 BB, 2 SB, 32 pitches. Allowed 3 more runs in the 3rd. He’d thrown 68 pitches with 0 outs in the 3rd. No idea why David Bell and Derek Johnson hung him out to dry. Total: 4 IN, 7 H, 6 R, 3 BB, 5 K, HR, 93 pitches/60 strikes. Previous 5 starts/5 runs vs Pirates 1.55 ERA…Reds (0-5).

Offense: 9 H, 3 BB, 8 K......42 hits last four games.

India: On bases five times...2 H, 2 2B, 2 BB, 2 SB, 3 R, HBP.
Out at the plate trying to score on a one out Candelario chopper in front of the plate in the 1st.

Elly: 2 H, 2B, BB

Tyler Stephenson: 3B, one night after an infield single.

Spencer Steer: 2 H, 2B, RBI, R.

Stuart Fairchild: 0 for 4, 5 for 54 (.092) vs RHP this year.

Jake Fraley: H, 16 games w/o RBI, 49 games w/o HR.

Benson: 0 for 4, 3 K, 0 for last 25. Batting .188 in 249 plate appearances. For the love of all that is holy, would somebody wake up and mercy demote the guy?
What purpose is being served? He is hopelessly flailing and lost. Help him!

Bullpen:
Farmer: 1.0, 2-R HR
Yozver Zulueta: 3.0, H, R, 2 BB, 4 K, 51 pitches/29 strikes (MLB debut)
Suter: 1.0

Pirates stole a run when Fraley lobbed a throw back in to Elly after a lopping single to right. Elly had his back to the plate and O’Neill Cruz kept running and scored.

Reynolds extended hit streak to MLB season high 22 games.

How they scored:
