A couple of leftovers from yesterday:

I've said many times this season, the Reds lost games that felt like they won a year ago. Yesterday felt like a year ago.

The swing of emotions from what could have been to what it became for the Reds cannot be overstated.

They were one out from losing and having to jump on a flight having to settle for a series win and 4-2 road trip. Instead, they get a sweep and a 5-1 road trip.

4 straight wins and 9 of 12. 1.5 back of 2nd....1.5 back of Wild Card. 100 games to go.

It's only fitting the six run 9th inning comeback came with two outs. 22 of 29 runs the Reds scored in the series came with two outs. Incredible.

Offense in series: 29 runs, 42 hits

What a confidence boosting/feel good/evidence series

Monday: 10 players had hits....Tuesday: 9 players had hits ......Wednesday: 9 players had hits

Elly De La Cruz had three hits, but don't sleep on his 9th inning groundout to the right side to advance TJ Friedl.

Elly made two defensive plays you will have to see to really appreciate. The 2nd play really was Derek Jeter like.

What a difference TJ Friedl means is this lineup:

HR, BB, 2 HBP, SB, 3 R, 2 RBI

Steer: 11 for his last 23

India: .389/1.139 with 9 BB, 13 RBI last 12 games

Stephenson: 6 game hit streak. Maile has reached in 10 straight starts

Jacob Hurtubise: BB, 3B, RBI, R. OBP now .354. What an impact his plate discipline has added to this team.

Blake Dunn's PH BB in the 9th extended the inning for India.

Yes, they swept the Rockies. They've also won the season series from the Dodgers and Phillies. Who they are beating does not matter at this point. This team needs to stack wins, any wins.

They are.
