FAA says to expect flight delays during the day of the eclipse

Planning to fly close to the total solar eclipse on April 8? Prepare for a busy day at New York airports — and in the sky.

The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a notice to pilots ahead of the eclipse, a celestial show set to draw floods of tourists to the 15 states within the path of the once-in-a-lifetime event. That includes the Empire State, which will experience totality for the first time in 99 years.
