Following a horrific scene that unfolded on the field at Paycor Stadium Monday night, the game between the Bengals and Bills was postponed.

Bills safety Damar Hamlin was injured making a tackle on Bengals WR Tee Higgins with 5:58 remaining in the 1st quarter and the Bengals leading 7-3.

Hamlin stood up after the tackle, only to then collapse. The medical staff rushed onto the field, immediately calling for the ambulance.

Personnel began administering CPR for what appeared to go on for about 10 minutes.

Players on both teams gathered at midfield, many in tears. Hamlin was eventually loaded into the ambulance and taken to UC medical center.

Initially, according to reports, the teams were going to be given a 5-minute warm-up period before play was to resume.

However, the game was then 'temporarily suspended' with both teams being sent to their locker rooms.

About an hour into the stoppage, the NFL officially announced the game would be officially postponed.

Further details will follow.
