The Dodgers clobbered five home runs, three off Hunter Greene, and finished off a dominant three-game series sweep with a 10-5 win Thursday afternoon at GABP. Four Dodgers collected three hits on a 16 hit day in a 42 hit series that saw them outscore the Reds 26-11. The Dodgers scored in every inning expect the 1st. Freddie Freeman homered and drove in three runs....making it 10 RBI in the series and 14 RBI in seven games vs the Reds this season. Clayton Kershaw held the Reds to one run over six innings of work. The Reds trailed 8-1 before Tommy Pham cracked a three-run homer in the 7th inning.
That's seven straight losses overall, eight straight at GABP and nine straight to the Dodgers. That's eight straight at GABP for the first time since 2015.
It's the first time the Reds lost every game of a homestand (0-6) of at least six games since July 11-17, 1991.
The Reds have lost 11 of 14 and are a season worst 23 games under .500 at 23-46 and a season worst 16 games out of first place in the NL Central.
They are pace to finish 54-108. Let that sink in.

434 foot homer. Freddie Freeman rocketed a two-run homer (427 feet). The three homers raised Greene's ML leading total to 20. 57 fastballs (58%), 35 sliders (36%) and 6 changeups (6%). He struggled with his slider.

Double-it-up: Trea Turner was doubled-up in the 1st inning on a 7-3 DP when he was running from 1B on the fly ball to Tommy Pham in LF. Turner lost track of the ball and was faked out by Kyler Farmer and Donovan Solano. The Reds executed an 8-3-5 DP in the 2nd inning when Cody Bellinger lifted a sacrifice fly. Nick Senzel's throw home was cut off by Brandon Drury and thrown to 3B to cut down Justin Turner attempting to advance.
Assistance: Pham threw out Trea Turner at 1B on a fly ball DP and cut down Austin Barnes trying to go 1st to 3rd on a single. Senzel threw out Justin Turner trying to a go to 3rd base. Reds outfielders have 17 assists for the season, tied with the Rangers for the most in MLB.
Out here, there, everywhere: Jonathan India singled in the 1st inning and was promptly picked off by Kershaw. India has been back since June 14 and has been thrown out stealing 2B, thrown out at home to trying to score on a fly ball and picked off 1B.
Good day: Nick Senzel collected two hits, stole a base and threw out a base runner from CF. His hit vs Kershaw made him 4 for 4 lifetime vs the lefty before flying later.
Somehow: No. 9 hitter Austin Barnes, who entered the game batting .191, walked three times.....yep
