Number one in the nation for homicides.
Cincinnati has the highest murder rate to start 2022 of any city in America. A brand new report shows the Queen City tied for the most homicides per capita over the first three months of the year with New Orleans and Baltimore.
The Wallet Hub report also says Cincinnati is number two in the nation for the having the biggest increase in the homicide rate since COVID started.

The release of this report comes on the same day that Cincinnati City Council is expected to approve a quarter of a million dollars for additional police overtime to combat the gun violence. Patrols will be beefed up in problem areas. The head of Councils Public Safety Committee has also told the police chief that if you need more money that that, they will find it.
