The man who crashed into a Newport, Kentucky restaurant patio dining area during a police chase last summer that killed an elderly couple will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Mason Meyer pleaded guilty in Hamilton County Court in exchange for drug and other charges being dropped.
The judge called the 28-year-old's conduct "repulsive" and "unconscionable."
Meanwhile the victim's family has a lawsuit against the city for not breaking off the chase.
