( Richmond, Virginia ) - Four members of a northern Kentucky family, including children, were killed in a crash Monday.
Police say 53-year-old Anthony Snow of Newport and three of his children--9-year-old Victor Meyers, 11-year-old Mary Snow, and 13-year-old Joseph Snow--died after their vehicle crashed on Interstate 64 in New Kent County, Virginia, around 11am Monday.
The mother of the children was the only survivor of the crash, she's in the hospital with serious injuries.
According to investigators, the car went off the right side of the highway, into a grass shoulder, and struck a pole before the car caught fire.
The family was reportedly on their way back from a vacation in Virginia Beach.
The three children were students at Newport Intermediate School. The superintendent of the district has released a statement saying everyone in the district is mourning their loss, and grief counselors are available at the school for the rest of the week.
