In a statement Monday, Cincinnati Police Chief Eliot Isaac said he plans to retire in early 2022 due to his tenure and how the city's retirement system works.
Isaac, who has been with the department for more than three decades, was sworn in as police chief in December 2015 after acting in an interim role for a few months after former Chief Jeffrey Blackwell was fired.
