(700 WLW)- Firefighters sent to the 500 block of Dutch Colony Drive early Tuesday morning after neighbors reported a fire at a nearby apartment. Engine 38 from Spring Grove Village arrived on scene to find a smoky fire in a first-floor of the apartment. District Chief Greg Martin declared the fire under control in 30 minutes. The lone resident of the apartment was evaluated on scene by medics. The Red Cross is assisting the family. Damage to the apartment estimated at $20,000.00. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
