( Cincinnati ) - The Queen City will look a little more blue this evening, as city leaders look to show support to all those fighting on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic.
"Our everyday heroes are working tirelessly to keep the rest of us safe," said Hamilton County Commission President Denise Driehaus in a statement.
The Light It Blue campaign has the "Cincinnati" sign at the Duke Energy Convention Center now lit in the color blue in support of nurses, firefighters, grocery store clerks, police, public service workers, and other people working in what are considered essential businesses.
Other businesses, venues, and even regular people are invited to join in this evening, Thursday, April 9, at 8pm.
Participants should tag the City of Cincinnati (@CityofCincy), Hamilton County (@HamiltonCntyOH) and Duke Energy Convention Center (@CincyDECC)in their social media posts. Please use #lightitblue and #lightitbluecincy
