Two Major Concert Announcements In Cincinnati

(Cincinnati) - "The Who" will be returning to Cincinnati for the 1st time in 40 years. The band has not played in Cincinnati since December 3, 1979, when thousands of people were outside Riverfront Coliseum for hours waiting for the rock band to performwhen 11 people were killed as they rushed into the Coliseum.  
The benefit show will be at BB&T Arena on April 23, 2020 at 8 p.m. The band said that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a memorial scholarship to benefit students in Finneytown. Three of the people killed in 1979 were students at Finneytown High School.  
Since 1979, The Who have not returned to Cincinnati for a concert, but have come for solo concerts. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, December 6th, at 10AM.  
And also returning to Cincinnati, country music star, Garth Brooks. Garth will be coming to Paul Brown Stadium as part of his Stadium Tour on May 16, 2020 at 7 p.m. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, December 13th at 10 AM.The concert will be Brooks' first time playing at the stadium and the only Ohio date on the tour.
