Hocking Hills death: Murder indictments handed down against teens

The teenagers suspected in the death of a photographer in Hocking Hills facing charges as adults have been indicted by a grand jury which handed down multiple indictments against the two.

A grand jury handed down charges of murder, reckless homicide and involuntary manslaughter against 16-year-olds Jordan Buckley and Jaden Churchhues.

Prosecutors say the two pushed a 75-pound piece of wood from a cliff in Hocking Hills killing mother of four Victoria Schafer instantly on Labor Day. The Hocking Hills Sheriff's Department reportedly got confessions from them after the incident.

Ohio law says it's murder if someone commits an act they know can cause harm, even if that's not the intent.

At the probable cause hearing, one witness, Miranda Spencer, testified that she was with the two boys that day, and neither intended to hurt anyone.

At last check the teens were being held in juvenile detention with bond set for both at $100,000.
