( Middletown ) - A woman was struck on I-75 early Thursday morning, shutting down the highway for hours, and now investigators are releasing more information.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 32-year-old Stephanie Roach of Middletown was struck as she was crossing the southbound lanes of the highway on foot around 5am. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Responding police say the driver of the car that hit her stopped and was cooperative. That driver was not injured.
There's no indication from investigators yet as to why Roach was trying to cross the interstate in the first place.
A statement from the patrol says the crash remains under investigation.
