( Cincinnati, OH ) - A Western Hills High School student is going to be ok, after she was hit by a car this morning.
Cincinnati Public Schools says the 14 year-old was in the crosswalk at the time. She is currently in stable condition at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

"A 14-year-old female student at Western Hills University High School is recovering from her injuries at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital after she was struck by a car while in the crosswalk at Ferguson and Sidney roads.
The driver of the vehicle ran a red light, according to Cincinnati Police and has been cited.
The student is reported in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries. Police are investigating the incident.
During the 2018-2019 school year,at least 13 CPS students were struck by cars while crossing the street to school. One Western Hills student, Gabrielle Rodriguez, was killed last September when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver as she attempted to cross the street to her bus.
At a safety press conference last Friday, Superintendent Laura Mitchell and Cincinnati Police Chief Eliot Isaac urged drivers to slow down in a school zone and be aware of students walking to and from school."
