( Avondale ) - Cincinnati Police are investigating yet another deadly pedestrian strike.
Just after 6:30am on Wednesday, 37-year-old Holly Burns was crossing Vernon Place in a crosswalk when she was struck by what police say was a newer model, red Chevrolet Silverado truck. The vehicle was going south on Vernon and allegedly drove off after turning west onto East University Avenue.
Burns sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to UC Medical Center in critical condition. She died from her injuries during treatment.
