(Cincinnati) - Ohio lawmakers might lift the state's ban on hemp cultivation.
A bill introduced into the senate today would legalize hemp, a cannabis plant with a low amount of THC. THC is the compound in marijuana the creates the high feeling for users.
Laws in Ohio don't differentiate between hemp and marijuana so now all hemp-related products can only be sold through the Medical Marijuana program.
This bill would legalize cannabidoil, known as CBD.
