(Boone County) - David Dooley's murder retrial has started in Boone County.
Dooley is accused of killing Michelle Mockbee in 2012. Her body was found at the Thermo Fisher Scientific building.
He was convicted of her murder in 2014, but was granted a retrial after the defensive found the commonwealth's attorney hadn't turned over a piece of evidence.
Dooley has maintained his innocence throughout the years.
Since the trial an affair between attorney Tally Smith and Boone County Detective Bruce McVay became public. McVay has retired, but the defense has subpoenaed both of them.
