( Oxford, Ohio ) - Police say a man was arrested over the weekend on charges that he raped a Miami University student.
In a statement, Oxford Police say the female student ran screaming to an officer near the intersection of S Poplar St and Ardmore Dr just before 3am. The woman said she had just been sexually assaulted by a man she just met. The woman told police where the suspect was headed, and moments later, 21-year-old Brandon Gilbert (above) was arrested.
Gilbert is charged with rape, kidnapping, and assault. Police say he's not listed as a Miami University student.
