( Fairfield ) - Police say a woman was taken into custody on Tuesday when a man, reportedly her boyfriend, was found dead in her home.
A statement from Fairfield Police says they got a 911 call to check on the welfare of 33-year-old Stephanie Gabbard, saying she's an "hysterical mess" and that she's been sending "dark messages over Facebook." The caller says Gabbard is a friend of his and he says that she's been in an abusive relationship.
Police say that when they arrived at Gabbard's home on Eastgate Dr that they found 41-year-old David Mitchell dead inside. Gabbard was taken into custody in connection with Mitchell's death, but police have not announced formal charges.
Mitchell's cause of death is pending.
