(Cincinnati) -- Cincinnatians have a new way to get in touch with police.
The Cincinnati Police Department’s mobile app launched Monday and is available in both the Google Play and Apple App Store.
This app puts the city’s crime map and crime alerts at the users’ fingertips. This allows those with the app to see what’s happening where they live and anonymously report a tip that could help police solve a crime.
The Crime Map feature allows users to view a map of the city and click on incidents. When they click into the incidents they can see what crime has been committed, when it happened and submit a tip if they want to.
The app also has all department information in the same place.
Under the tab that says “More” residents can find department social media, the non-emergency number line and check the city’s Most Wanted list.
