(Blanchester, OH) -- The Debate has started in Blanchester on a plan to arm school employees.
School board members introduced a proposal Monday night to have two armed staff members in each building. The program would be voluntary, armed staffers would be required to have concealed carry permits and complete a firearm training course as well as a psychological evaluation.
Parent reaction so far is mixed on the plan that board members say will keep students safe. The board did not vote on the issue and have not scheduled a vote for the next meeting.
