( Kenton County, Kentucky ) - Daniel Edward Greis has been found guilty of wanton murder.
A jury on Friday convicted him of five counts after a crash last year that killed 26-year-old Rodney Pollitt, 27-year-old Samantha Malohn, and their three children: 9-year-old Hailieann, 8-year-old Brenden, and 6-year-old Cailie. Prosecutors say Greis was intoxicated and going 90 miles-per-hour before the crash on Staffordsburg Road.
A GoFundMe page was set up to raise money for their funerals. It raised $33,000 of the $50,000 goal.
The 58-year-old Greis was sentenced to 20 years. He faced a possible life sentence.
