Both Zack Cozart and Joey Votto are headed to Miami and South Beach for the 2017 All Star game Tuesday July 11th.
Cozart was voted by the fans as the NL starting shortstop, beating the Dodgers' Corey Seeger in the balloting. The first time All Star is having a breakout season, leading all Major League shortstops in batting average (.322) and OPS (.958) and he's on a pace to post new career highs in runs, hits, home runs and RBI's.
This is Votto's fifth All Star selection, but the first since 2013. The Reds first baseman is batting 317 this season with 23 homers and 59 RBI's.
