A Georgia sheriff is putting "no trick-or-treat" signs in the front yards of registered sex offenders. Butts County, Georgia, has 54 registered sex offenders. Since the weekend, Sheriff Gary Long and his deputies have been placing signs in their front yards that say, "Warning! No trick-or-treat at this address!" The sheriff said children have a greater chance of getting hit by a car on Halloween than be assaulted by a repeat offender, but if a child did get assaulted he wouldn't be able to sleep at night.
