Dog Gets 3-D Printed Skull After Cancer Destroys 70% Her Skull

A nine-year-old dachshund named Patches has a brand new skull.  The dog was suffering from a cancerous tumor that threatened her brain and eyes.  Veterinarians in Ontario, Canada were able to print her out a new 3-D skull, and put it in place after the massive tumor was removed.  The new part replaces about 70 percent of the dog's existing skull.  The procedure was a first in North America.
