Macomb County Public Works Commissioner Candice Miller says the fatberg removal cost the department $100,000. The fatberg, also known as a giant blob of solid waste, was removed from the county's sewer line today. It's the largest in the memory of any department worker. The glob was nearly 100ft long and was 11ft in diameter, standing nearly 6ft tall. It was made of fats, oils and grease mixed with solids flushed into the sewer. The fatberg was estimated to weigh about 19-tons.
