Seniorita (Rita) is a 7 year old Chihuahua. She was picked up as a stray on New Year’s Eve and has been living with a foster family. She loves to play with soft toys and will run around the house in hopes of someone giving her toy a tug. She is a rock star in her crate, putting herself to bed each night and she quietly sleeps all night. Rita has shown to love other dogs and gains confidence from their companionship. She loves to play and typically initiates it in hopes of some fun romps around the house. But she can quickly move on to play with her own toys if no one accepts her offer. She can often be found snuggling with her canine companions and prefers to have her crate near other dogs in the house when she is left alone. So, a home with other dogs would be best for her. Typical chi, she will have a favorite person with whom she will want to hang all day. But she is accepting of others and will be in the mix when multiple people (and dogs) are together. If you are her person, she will gladly follow you around all day. She loves to play in the sheets as you make the bed, hang out by your mat during yoga sessions, and lay by your side as soon as you sit down. She is never far away.
