Freddy is a 2.5 year old Shepherd mix waiting for his forever family. He's been at the shelter just over a month, and was found as a stray. Freddy was very nervous when he first came to Animal Friends, and had a hard time coping with living in a kennel. Our volunteers and staff have worked with him daily to help him overcome his fear of this environment and new people, and he's doing better every day. He does best when he's outside of his kennel and away from all of the other barking dogs. Freddy would do best with an owner who has a quiet home that'll be patient and allow him time to acclimate to his new surroundings. He seems to bond with people once he's been given time to slowly interact with them on his terms

Ales for Tails is this Saturday!! This event is held at Municipal Brew Works by the river in downtown Hamilton from 10am-9pm. Live bands, craft beer, food trucks, vendors, $10 microchipping, 50% off pet adoptions, and pet contests. Fun for the family and friendly pets are allowed to come, especially to take part in the Pet Talent Contests where the local judges will pick the winners of Smallest, Biggest, Best Trick, Best Costume, and Owner/Pet Look-Alike.
