Well, that one felt good.
Pirates starter Bailey Falter retired the first nine batters, then the Reds sent nine batters to the plate in a five run 4th. They were just getting started. They scored 11 runs on 12 hits over the 4th-5th-6th innings.
Elly did his thing: 3 H, 3 R, 3 RBI, 2B, HR…439 foot blast onto the RIVERBOAT in centerfield. Career high 14th HR. Six multi-hit games in his last 10. Hustle double on ground ball up the middle. Deep into the hole twice to make plays. Needing a triple for the cycle, he grounded out in the 8th.
