Listen: Caty McNally on Western and Southern Open experience

Madeira product Caty McNally made her debut at the Western & Southern Open in Mason on Monday.

The 17-year old, who is the youngest player in the field, squared off against Elise Mertens, the world’s No. 20 ranked player in the main draw on Center Court.

McNally lost 7-5, 6-0.

McNally will play doubles at the Western & Southern Open.

She won the doubles titles earlier this month at the WTA’s Citi Open in Washington D.C.
