August 4, 1993
Rangers pitcher Nolan Ryan hit White Sox third baseman Robin Ventura with a pitch.
Ventura took exception and charged the mound. Bad decision.
Watch what the 46-year old Ryan did to the 26-year old Ventura.
The Chicago Tribune looked back at the moment.
Of note....
Ryan was not ejected from the game.
Ventura and White Sox manager Gene Lamont were ejected.
Ventura was the only batter that Ryan hit that season.
MLB suspended Ventura two games for his role in the brawl. He was fined $1,500.
Can you think of a worse beating in an MLB fight? We are talking brawls HERE
