Starbucks is in hot water again after a man says he was hit with a racial slur at a Los Angeles-area location. He says he recently ordered two coffees at the store, and the barista wrote the word "beaner" on his cups instead of his name. The man adds that the slur didn't appear to be a mistake, because the barista called out his real name when the order was ready. He complained and was offered a 50-dollar gift card, but he says he turned it down because he was so insulted. Starbucks issued a statement asking for forgiveness, and says they are working to correct the incident so it doesn't happen again.
Last month, two black men were arrested while asking to use the restroom at a Philadelphia Starbucks, which caused nationwide backlash.
