PHOTOS: 2026 Cincinnati Open: Doubles QF McNally/Jovic vs Jiang/Zhang

The final match on Grandstand Thursday afternoon at the 2026 Cincinnati Open saw a women's quarterfinal doubles match between Americans Caty McNally and Iva Jovic facing off with China's Xinyu Jiang and Shuai Zhang.

The Americans fell behind quickly 5-1 before they came roaring back to tie the 1st set at 5-5. They would then force a tiebreak which they would take and claim the first set.

The Chinese team would come back though getting a quick break in the 2nd set, and taking that set.

In the match tiebreak McNally and Jovic would jump out to a 5-0 lead before Jiang and Zhang could respond. The Chinese duo would not regain their footing, and the Americans would take the match sending them to their first semifinal as a team.

Caty McNally and Iva Jovic defeat Xinyu Jiang and Shuai Zhang 7-6(8), 3-6, 1-0(6)

The American duo move on to the semifinals where they will play the Czech team of Marie Bouzkova and Linda Noskova.
