Canadian air traffic controllers are sending more than good wishes to their U.S. counterparts who aren't getting paid because of the partial government shutdown. They're sending pizzas to folks who missed their first paychecks on Friday. It started when controllers in Edmonton, Alberta ordered pizzas for crews in Anchorage, Alaska. Through the weekend, other Canadian controller units along the border sent pizzas to U.S. controllers who share airspace. The campaign continued to spread and the president of the Canadian Air Traffic Control Association says his members are now sending pizzas to controllers all over the U.S.
