Amy Schumer will not be appearing in any 2019 Super Bowl commercials to show support for Colin Kaepernick. The comedian said on social media on Friday that she does not want to do any ads because she feels that "hitting the NFL with the advertisers is the only way to hurt them." She also called on white football players to kneel during the national anthem to support black players. It was just revealed last week that singer Rihanna turned down an offer to perform at the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show in support of Kaepernick. The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback started taking a knee at games during the anthem in 2016. He filed a grievance against the NFL in 2017, alleging that the league and its owners conspired against him to keep him off all teams because of the protest.
