Rihanna Turned Down Super Bowl Halftime Show In Support Of Colin Kaepernick

Rihanna turned down an offer to perform at the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show to show support for Colin Kaepernick.  Us Weekly reports the NFL and CBS really wanted her for the 2019 show, but she said no because she disagrees with the NFL's stance on Kaepernick and kneeling during the national anthem.  Kaepernick was a quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, and started taking a knee at games during the anthem in 2016.  He filed a grievance against the NFL in 2017, alleging that the league and its owners conspired against him to keep him off all teams because of the protest.  The 2019 Super Bowl Halftime performer is Maroon 5.
