"The Conners" Ratings Much Lower Than "Roseanne"

ABC's 'The Conners' ratings are much lower than the premiere of the 'Roseanne' revival following the fictionalized death of its main star.  The Tuesday night debut earned ten-point-five million viewers, which is down 55 percent from the first episode of the revival last year.  The show still managed to lead the night in ratings against NBC's hit 'This Is Us.'  The spin-off finds the titular family reeling from the death of the previous main character, Roseanne.  ABC appeared excited about the ratings issuing a report calling the show "TV's top new comedy."  Last night's premiere of the Roseanne spinoff revealed that Roseanne's character died from an overdose of prescription pain pills.
