Beverly Hills Students To Protest Purple Line At Trump Home

Hundreds of Beverly Hills students are calling on President Donald Trump to stop the construction of the controversial Metro Purple Line subway.  About 1500 kids and teachers in the Beverly Hills Unified School District are expected to walk out of class at 10:30 a.m., and will be bussed to Trump's home in the neighborhood to protest the project.  The effort is said to be a last ditch effort to put an end to the route from downtown to Westwood that would run underneath the high school, and the district has tried to sue twice.  The second phase of the project is expected to start in the next few months, and the line has a completion date of 2025.
