A medieval death is casting a shadow over a Kentucky event after a 52-year-old was impaled. Officials say Peter Barclay was part of a re-enactment last week of a medieval-themed equestrian game when he suffered the gruesome death. Barclay was performing a trick when he was impaled by the lance accident happened Saturday at the Williamstown event. The 52-year-old did not survive and the death is being called an accident. The Society for Creative Anachronism hosted the event.
