A former NBC News producer is claiming the network threatened journalist Ronan Farrow over his coverage of sexual assault allegations against Harvey Weinstein. Rich McHugh told The New York Times the network tried to block Farrow from continuing his investigation into the movie mogul, calling it "a massive breach of journalistic integrity." He alleges the two were working on a story together and were preparing to travel to Los Angeles to interview a woman who had a credible rape allegation against Weinstein when they were told to stand down on the story. NBC has denied McHugh's claims, and said that Farrow's story was not ready for airing when it was presented to the network in July of 2017. Farrow won a Pulitzer Prize earlier this year for his stories about Weinstein, who has been accused of sexual misconduct and rape by multiple women since last October.
