Pope Francis says parents of gay children should not condemn their kids, ignore their sexual orientation, or throw them out of the house. The Pope says parents should instead pray, talk with their children, and try to understand them. Francis spoke with reporters after a Catholic family rally in Ireland. The Pope said parents of young children who exhibit what he called worrisome traits might need to get psychiatric help. He said when an adult child comes out, parents should not respond with silence as everyone has the right to a family -- and the family not throwing them out.
