A teen mother is going to jail for 11 years after stabbing her on-again-off-again boyfriend during a sexual encounter where she was dressed as a clown. The sorted details of the attempted murder are strange to say the least... The victim Kieran Bewick, who was 17 at the time of the attack, is terrified of clowns, thus Zoe Adams, 19, dressed up as one to make their sexual encounter more "exhilarating" before placing a pillow over Bewick's face and stabbing him five times with a 10-inch knife.
During sentencing the prosecution entered a text message that Adams sent to Bewick as evidence, it stated: "I don't think about males unless said male is strapped up and being used as a human sacrifice - you should be grateful you are not part of it." There were also images of blood soaked women found on Adams' phone.
After the hearing Adams claimed she didn't even remember nearly killing her former lover, saying the violence was a reaction to Bewick kissing her neck. Judge James Adkin described Adams actions as "cruel and sadistic", saying the teenager intended to cause severe harm to her victim.
Bewick still struggles with the aftermath of the life-threatening attack, emotionally and physically. In his victim impact statement her said: "I struggle with the knowledge that someone I genuinely cared about would do this to me. I have always had a fear of clowns and Zoe knew this. This will now only increase my fear of clowns."
