Five-Year-Old Boy Pulled Over On His Way To California To Buy A Lamborghini

A five-year-old boy from Utah decided to take matters into his own hands after his mother refused to buy him a Lamborghini. After losing the argument with his mom, the young boy put $3 in his pocket, got into his parents' SUV and started driving toward California so he could buy his dream car.

The boy's plans were dashed after a Utah Highway Patrol officer saw him weaving between lanes while traveling at 30 MPH on Interstate 15. Trooper Rick Morgan thought he was pulling over an impaired driver and was shocked when he saw the boy behind the wheel.

"He was sitting on the front edge of the seat so that he could reach the brake pedal to keep the car stopped while I was standing there," Morgan told KSL-TV. "I helped him get the car into park, shut the vehicle down, and then we started to look for means to contact his parents."

His parents told the officer that they were at work, and the boy was in the care of an older sibling. Officials did not rule out filing criminal charges against the boy's parents.

"We're counting our blessings (nobody was hurt), but that doesn't mean a high-risk situation that put a lot of people's lives in jeopardy (didn't occur)," Lt. Nick Street said. "Based on that, we'll talk with the county attorney and see what charges they would like filed or screened with them, and we'll do that."
