A Price Hill teen is behind bars this morning for the shooting yesterday near Northwest High School.
Detectives say witnesses to the gunfire on Newmarket Drive near Butterwick Drive identified 18 year old Brian Holmes as the shooter and he is now charged with the murder of 25 year old Rashad Ameer Shahid. A second suspect who is a juvenile is facing charges as well.
We still don't know what prompted the shooting but Northwest High School has cancelled classes today because of it.
At this point there appears to be no direct connection between the shooting and the school.
