( Butler County ) - Earlier this month, police in Trenton were investigating a body found in Madison Twp when they found themselves being shot at by a suspect in Trenton.
45-Year-Old James Geran was taken to the hospital with an allegedly self-inflicted gunshot wound after law enforcement officers say he fatally shot 63-year-old Sharon McCleary. McCleary was one of three women Geran was allegedly holding hostage in an apartment on Sal Blvd.
On Tuesday, Geran was transferred from Miami Valley Hospital to the Butler County Jail's medical unit. He's so far charged with two counts of murder, but more charges are expected.
