West End Community Council to Negotiate with FC Cincinnati Wednesday

( West End ) - Wednesday could be the day when the deal is renegotiated and finalized.

A half-dozen members of the West End Community Council and an attorney paid for by FC Cincinnati are set to meet with the team Wednesday morning to renegotiate parts of the community benefits agreement. That CBA is something FC Cincinnati has promised as a condition of being allowed to build a soccer stadium in the West End. A meeting between those sides essentially went nowhere this past weekend.

Cincinnati City Council's Budget & Finance Committee is scheduled to meet and vote on the deal at 1pm. That could possibly be followed by full council later in the day. If the morning negotiations go nowhere, City Council would vote on the CBA that already exists.

FC Cincinnati is trying to finalize all of its agreements so it can build that soccer stadium if Major League Soccer offers it an expansion franchise.
